Discover Credit card department,
Last year my friend and I found out that Discover offered a matching bonus ( Double cash back ) program for opening a new DISCOVER IT card. Previously I had DISCOVER MORE card and I called customer service to swap my MORE card to IT card, and I was promised that I was qualified to earn the double cash back after my first - bill cycle payments. Now after one year, I did n't receive my matching bonus but my friend did ( my friend also swap from MORE card to IT card ). Therefore, I called discover customer service to ask about this. The supervisor said that they do n't have any evidence shows that I enrolled in this program and they do n't keep the phone call record from last year so that they can not do any thing about it. However, I believe this is not a enrollment required program at that time and I called customer service to ensure I can receive the rewards since I swapped from another card to new card.
