I was an account holder at - in - for several years until the Bank became BB & T. Every month I have a direct deposit of about $3500.00. After paying several bills and spending a few dollars around -/-/- I had a posted balance of $1300.00. Out of that amount I spend $1000.00 leaving me approximately $260.00 or something. With that balance I had - items pending which added up to less than the amount. Although I had money in my account, I was charged a $36.00 fee for something that overdraft but I was not in the negative. Also, a $65.00 return item was submitted with this positive balance. So I called the bank to get an explanation and with much argument, the rep finally added up the amount that was spend and came up a total amount spent was $1000.00, which was less than $1300.00. When I asked why did I still have $220.00 posted on my balance the rep informed me that that the amount was not a real amount and I did not have that amount in the bank. So I went into a branch on - - - in - and after speaking with


money in the bank. I gave the Branch Manager $400.00 where he deposited $410.00 at the teller window for me confirming that the next morning, after the few items post I should have a $14.00 balance. The next day BB & T had charged me for the items that were in pending status that I deposited money for the day before. Not only was this an issue, these last three months I have noticed that they have been holding pending items for over 3 days or after the merchants have requested the money according to my investigation. Furthermore, I noticed that I bought some chicken from - - for $5.00 and they had this amount both in pending and posted at the exact same time. My balance is never what it is supposed to be. On many occasions I have been locked out of my account for several days and unable to follow my transactions. I have had to call the bank to access my online account because it is continuously not available or blocked. Right now, BB & T has me owing their bank over $300.00, while I deposited $410.00 to eliminate fees.
