I 'm currently going thru a divorce and no longer living in my home. My husband contacted - where we have a joint credit card. He said the card is lost/stolen and requested a new card in my name be sent to the marital home. I reported this to - and said that I can not gain repossession of the card in my name and want it canceled it immediately or to have them contact my husband to have him cancel the card. Also asked for them to reissue a new card directly to me. They refused and are keeping an inactivated / open line of credit on my name, when I want it closed and do not want the information on the magnetic strip compromised, or to have the card activated post divorce and have any surprises.
