BB&T Financial Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay Georgia
I responded to an advertisement on the radio of a car dealership that would offer a no down payment guarantee loan for anyone who works in the - - field. I was able to purchase a vehicle ( Nissan Altima - ) in - -. The listed price was $16000.00. I have been making monthly payments of -. I have been struggling since the healthcare law making it mandatory to have health insurance started. My employer plan is costing me over $650.00 a month. I am behind on my payments and the company took my car on -/-/-. I contacted them and was told in order to get my car returned I would have to make a payment of $2400.00 with another payment of $450.00 due on -/-/-. I must pay the towing company $30.00 a day for storage also. The company charges me $10.00 to speak to them in the phone and $30.00 if I make a late payment. Then I will still continue to make monthly payments of $450.00 for approximately 4 more months. I am working full time with the ability to get overtime but now I have no transportation. I will have ended up paying over $30000.00 for a used vehicle. I am living paycheck to paycheck. I am also a single mother that has raised - - sons. I understand that I have a debt but I also feel that I have been overcharged in this purchase. My credit was not great after I lost my house in the housing crisis. I am paying rent, utilities and taxes. I work hard and have not taken any time off in years.
