Credit monitoring or identity protection account terms and changes
Experian Credit reporting department,
Credit monitoring or identity protection Account terms and changes New Jersey
Hi, Like many other posters on consumer affairs.com, I signed up for the one time credit report from Experian.com. I then got charged $20.00 a month for the next 6 months and the same when I checked my husband 's credit. Granted, I should have cancelled and checked the fine print. However, I do n't recall seeing the $20.00 a month when I signed up. I never received any email credit alerts and when I noticed the charge again on my credit card this month, I called the company. I explained that I understand the terms and did n't mean to sign up but I did. They can see that I did not use the service but would not bend on any refunds. What really sparked me to write the review and not just chalk it up to my failure to cancel or read small print is the robotic response I got. I called today -/-/2016 and the next month is for -/-/2016 and they would not even cancel that. I called 3 times and they repeated sorry it is nonrefundable like a robot. I expressed my anger and the fact that I would eat the $240.00 which I have
as it is non-refundable but there was no give at all. Only greedy greedy take. The worse part is I did n't receive anything for this money. Lucky, I can afford the loss, but I wonder how many other people get ripped off like this and a ca n't afford it. Please pass a law requiring more details in the fine print or monitor this greedy lack of customer focused company. Thanks.
