Checking account Using a debit or ATM card New Jersey
Investors Bank in NJ changed the type of checking account I have without my consent because they said they eliminated my type of account. They did not give me 30 days advanced notice before this change took place. The new terms on the account began on - -, 2016 the letter telling me there would be a change was received within the same week. I have had my account for 8 years and was not charged by Investors Bank if I used an ATM that they did not own. Now I am being charged $3.00 for each of these types of transactions over -. In the first two weeks of this change I have already been charged - fees and the bank did agree after some arguing to reverse - of the - fees. Had I been given the advanced notice I may have chosen to look for a new financial institution since the only ATMs that will now be free are the ones Investors Bank owns, which there are about - only located in the state of NJ.
