On -/-/- - accused me of damaging then repairing a rental car that was in my possession for a time period of 24 hours. - submitted a claim with my car insurance - and charged my Discover credit card the deductible fee and one-day rental fee ( a total of $290.00 ). While - investigated the matter, I contacted Discover to find out the timeline for disputing a charge. Discover told me that customers do not have a deadline for disputing a charge. - found me at no fault for the accident and did not submit payment to -. - reported they were taking the case to arbitration. Since Discover told me I had no deadline for filing a claim to dispute the charge, I decided to wait for an outcome from the arbitration process before pursuing a dispute charge with Discover. Since it has been about 2 years and - has not pursued arbitration I went ahead and submitted a claim with Discover in -, -. After Discover completed their investigation, I was informed that they are not able to validate the details of the claim because - did not respond to the claim. Per Discover, - has the right not respond to this claim, therefor, there is nothing Discover can do for me, the consumer. I feel like Discover is deceitful by telling costumers that there is no deadline to dispute a charge. Discover is misleading consumers. Not only was I a victim of fraud from - but also from Discover.
