I traded in a vehicle on - - ( - - ) and bought a new car.! week later a collection agency calls me at work and was rude at best wondering why I have not made my payment on the -. I explained to him that the vehicle was traded in and to who. It is a very reputable dealership. He said OK. Today he calls my wife and starts giving her a hard time and making idle threats about posting to my credit report and legal action which I think they already did because my score dropped - points today after being told it was traded in and to whom. So I contacted the dealer and they are going to give me documentation that the - has already been paid off by them. So it appears it is their own documentation that is not in order and now they have hurt my credit score and have phone ethics that are not very good.
