Ford Motor Credit Company Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle lease Managing the loan or lease Virginia
Ford Motor Credit is attempting to charge me a $100.00 fee for a " speeding ticket '' on my vehicle. Ford notified me of the ticket at some point in - 2016, and I proceeded to immediately contest the ticket. About 30 days afterwards, I find the fee of $100.00 on my account. I called Ford and notified them that it was my intention to contest the ticket and that by them having paid it, they are precluding me from being able to continue with the contestment. After waiting for over 8 days for a supervisor to contact me, I had to call back and managed to speak to - - from the - Department ( I later called Ford Motor Company and they informed me that there was no one with that last name and that it was possible that - gave me a false last name ) who was very disrespectful, called me a liar, and told me that he will not remove the fee. I told - - that I will look at terminating the lease because of this and that I would be filing a claim and mentioning him by name, he stated " Go ahead
to charge me for it. The letter contained a typo which confused me and even after having admitted to the mistake, - - refuses to eliminate the fee. To be more specific, the letter stated that one would have to notify " us '' at the phone number listed above. The only phone number listed " above '' was the - government 's number. Given that I never directly received a ticket ( I only received a letter from Ford notifying me of the ticket ), it was my reasonable understanding from that letter that - was in constant communication with - and thus, by contesting the ticket at the " above number '' ( - government 's number ), I would meet the notification requirement. - admitted that it was a mistake on the letter but he stated that he will not remove the fee. Furthermore, - stated that I had 30 days to pay the fee and that my contestment was dated - -. I explained to him that in order for one to have evidence of the contentment, you must receive an email confirmation from - of your submission ( I told him that he could verify this information on the - government 's website ). I contested the fee two days after I received the letter. More than a week passed and I never received the confirmation. I proceeded to contest it again and then many days later, I finally got the confirmation. - told me that I needed proof of this because otherwise I was lying. - was extremely disrespectful, he raised his voice to me and even proceeded to not let me talk and explain. I want the fee removed and - held accountable for his disrespect and actions.
