Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Trouble with how payments are handled Georgia
My stepson used my ss # to obtain - different loans. He lives in -, I 'm in -. He originally asked me if I would Co-sign for a $1400.00 Loan and had my ss #. Then I found out it was for a $4000.00 loan. He asked me again for my ss # for a second loan and I refused. He used it anyway and now is not repaying. This happened around 7 years ago. I filled out a fraud report and filed a police report and told the loan person I would follow through. They investigated and refused to take me off the loan. I never signed anything. I think he did this loan over the internet, but not sure. The loan company has never sent me anything with my signature. I had very good credit, not it 's ruined because of this irresponisble sneaky - year old who lies constantly. He has blocked me and his father so I ca n't communicate with him.My husband does n't work ( - ) and I only make $36000.00 per year. My husband has - per month retirement. I ca n't make the loan payments and now my credit is ruined. Please help me. The loan company, when I spoke with him on the phone was rude and said it was my word against his.. Can I get this removed from my credit report? I believe the total bill is around $11000.00 for both loans he took out. I have been dealing with this for so long and would n't turn him into the police as long as he paid. But he wo n't pay any longer so I had to turn him in. I do n't know what to do anymore. This is not right. Please help me. Thank you so much!!
