A criminal in Massachusetts called Discover and requested a card in our name and number on - -, -. Discover asked them questions which answers could be found on our driver 's license. They did not use security question answers which I assumed they would. They received a card on - -, - and began charging at - in -, MA ( the first charge which was $210.00 ). Then charged another - charges at different times at - each over $200.00. They also went to a few fast food places and a - in -, MA ( both charges over $200.00 ). We found out about this when my husband tried to use his Discover card on Saturday, - -, - and it was declined. He told me when he got home and I immediately called Discover Card Services. They said that they had sent out a card to a person claiming
or email. I have credit card protection with them which I pay for annually. Some protection. Can you help us? This same scenario happening to us -/-/- with our - -. They gave us the same response of having called and emailed several times. I never received an email or call. The charges also originated from Massachusetts. Something is occurring at these credit card companies that, in my opinion, appears to be internal.
