I - - - wrote a check # - to JP Morgan Chase for my mortgage loan - account # - in the amount of - which has been my mortgage payment for several years and mailed the check on -/-/16. JP Morgan Chase withdraw the check from my account in the amount of $1500.00 on - which resulted in a overdraft fee of $70.00. I spoke to - at Chase who reported that the balance of $240.00 was applied to the principle of the loan. I asked her who authorized chase to withdraw more than the check was written for. - than transferred the call to - in the payment research department at chase who admitted it was JP Morgan Chase mistake and stated the $240.00 would be refiunded to me in 1-2 days. I did not receive the $240.00 refund to date. I also informed - I was charged an overdraft fee from my bank -. - told me to fax a copy of my statement with the amount of the overdraft fee to JP Morgan Chase Payment Research Department. I attempted to fax the statement to the Fax # he provided multiple times and the fax did not go through to the # - provided. I called JP Morgan Chase and spoke to - who provided me another # to fax the statement. That number transmitted my statement. Chase withdraw the incorrect amount of the check from my account but it is taking me the consumer more than the 2 days to receive my refund and overdraft back into my account. I called Chase again on -/-/16 and spoke to - and then - to inquiry what happened to my refund. I was told the refund was mailed -/-/16. I also requested a copy of my paper check at which I was placed on hold for - min awaiting them to locate a copy of my paper check. I was told the check was located and a copy will be mailed out.
