Discover Credit card department,
I applied for a Discover it* card on - - when there was a $50.00 - - - offered for approved customers. When I applied I clicked directly on the link that was presented to me on the - website. Bear this in mind, as it comes into play further on in my story. I waited and waited to receive this reward. Finally, I contacted Discover card customer service. I am told that I selected a 0 % card, and not the gift card option. As I explained in a string of email correspondence to several Discover card representatives, I would NEVER chose that option, as I pay my bill in full every month, so a 0 % card is not of benefit to me. I was told that was MY mistake, they can do nothing to correct the issue or make good on their offer. Basically, they do not care about honesty in promotions, or in living up to their offers. I feel this is a classic bait and switch scenario, as I was only presented with the - offer, not multiple offers to chose from.
