I applied for a job with a credit union in the security department. They informed me I had a bad debt with - on my credit report and needed to resolve it in 30 days or I would lose the job offer. I contacted - and was informed they had no record of me having an account currently or in their archives owing a debt of any kind. They refused to remove the negative credit account stating they were not reporting it. I called the number from the credit report and was told they were a debt collection agency. I believed this was an Identity theft issue however I did not have the time for an investigation. I paid the account with the collection agency, - -, in full due to time constraints. This was -/-/2016. I am now being billed by another credit collection agency, EOS CCA for the same - account.
