I am in the process of buying a home and will be making several high debit charges for money orders and certified checks. I contacted Ally to increase my debit card balance. I was told by a representative that a request would have to be submitted and that the review takes 3 business days. Also, I was told that this increase would be temporary and that the debit card increase, if approved, would only last 3 days. This is problematic because the - debit will be 7 days away from the - debit. This policy will likely result in me not having access to my funds and will delay my closing which in turn will cost additional expenses for me.
