Hello, I 've been paying on my Navient private student loan since my graduation in 2010. I have had repeated instance of Navient mishandling my payments, resulting in late fees. I am also currently being charged over 10 % interest rates on - loans which equal up to $28000.00. They have given no option to lower these interest rates, and when I call to handle billing issues, it takes hours on the phone to get the issue resolved, only to become an issue during the following months ' billing cycle. We need real help with private student loan scams from Navient. They are allowed to mistreat borrowers without any repercussion or oversight. I am seeking government assistance due to the fact that I ca n't pay my monthly premium, as well as afford to live. As I mentioned, I have been paying now for six years and my premium balance has increased almost $10000.00 due to interest. We need help. Please. - -
