Discover Credit card department,
I was offered a - % cashback promotional rate from Discover Financial on my Discover IT credit card for all purchases made with - - from -/-/- - -/-/15. I received cashback for - of - transactions and received e-mails -/-/- and -/-/- that I was being denied for the - other purchases becuase they thought the purchases had contained gift cards. When I asked for them to clarify what I was being denied the - % cash back rate for, I was told I needed to provide receipts for each purchase. This, weeks or months after-the-fact. There was no mention of receipts needing to be retained when the promotion was launched, or at all during the entirety of the promotion.
