I was on the verge of defaulting on a student loan through - - when I was finally able to make a reasonable payment plan. My loan was transfered to Navient which is apparently a sister of - -. The verbal terms of the agreement were - $ a month with a .01 % interest rate as the original interest rate on the loan was 8.5 % and 10 %. I have been paying down the loan for 2 years as of - - and the loan balance has not decreased. I contacted them in - - to ask why my balance had not decreased at all and they informed me that it was a computer glitch that did n't make all of the loans .01 % it only applied that to the smallest loan. So the rest of m loans were still collecting 8.5-10 % interest rate on - $ of the the balance. I have called and spoke to multiple people and they continue to say " they are working on it '' I had one Navient " Manager '' state that I needed a court order to access my billing and payment history.
