Capital One Credit card department,
I had a personal Capital One credit card ( actually - of them ). I got be hide on the payments due to owning my own business. I was contacted by - - collecting agency demanding a payment. I contacted - - and came to a resolution on the account. - - and I agreed to a settlement offer. On - -, 2016, I paid - - $680.00 of the $970.00 balance, Capital One in - 2016, started reporting the collection balance of $290.00. ( the difference between the - amounts ). I contacted Capital One and the representative stated unless I pay the $290.00, they will continue to report and try to collect the amount, I forward Capital One the letter I received from - - stating the debt was paid through a settlement with a - balance. Capital One said the paper did not reflect what I owed them. I told them that - - was acting on their behalf. I contacted - - and asked if they had sent over the arrangement that we agreed upon. He replied yes and that the account was paid in full and that he would contact Capital One. I waited a week and contacted Capital One. I was told that I still owe the $290.00 and it would be reported until it was paid.
