I purchased a tire from Merchants on -/-/-. They attempted to mount the tire and cracked the rim, The rims costs $1000.00 each. After 3 hours working on the mounting operation they gave me the car. I alerted them that the sensor light was still displayed, they said it would go out. The tire blew out again. I had it towed back to Merchant the next day. They discovered the rim was cracked. They acknowledged it was their fault and welded the rim after telling me they would replace it. I rented a car since I was just out of - and needed transportation. They refused to pay for a rental car. I disputed the payment and PNC decided there was nothing to substantiate my claim. I did not think it was fair to pay for the incompetent services. They cracked the rim using inexperienced workers. For three hours they allowed someone to abuse my car. The supervisor came into the service area saying they were struggling with the tire, and yet allowed this same individual to destroy my rim. After it was repaired I had another blowout and - in - saw the welded job and found additional hairline cracks that they repaired. PNC decided to reverse provisional credit for the third dispute against Merchants '. I received a letter on Tuesday -/-/- that PNC would debit my account $340.00 for a provisional credit they issued in - -. I told them I was not paying it and I disagree with their findings.
