I have a private student loan with Wells Fargo with a Guarantee Amount of $14000.00. This loan went into repayment status in -/-/-. My current balance is $15000.00. I have continued to struggle to make my monthly payment for most of this period, which is currently $190.00. Wells Fargo will not offer any options to lower my monthly payment without refinancing. Due to credit issues, I do not qualify for refinancing without a co-signer. I currently do n't have anyone who is willing and/or able to do so. I ca n't afford to pay my monthly balance without the help of a parent. This parent helps as much as possible and typically contributes about $ - $150.00 of the balance. I am at the mercy of this contribution, which does not always get to me before my balance is due, which results in late payment fees of $28.00. I have incurred - late fees since -, which have only added to my balance and adds to interest paid. I am sending a letter to Wells Fargo along with a repayment request worksheet, which includes my current budget/expenses. I currently earn approximately $450.00 a month. I work less than part-time due
