American Honda Finance Corporation Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle lease Managing the loan or lease Virginia
I had a loan with Honda Financial Services since -. I paid timely and was never late. I paid this loan in full in - of -. This vehicle was purchased with proceeds from the - - - -. So my obligation to Honda Financial Services ( HFS ) ended and the debt was completely liquidated at that time. I have documents to support this. After that fact, HFS paid an amount for vehicle taxes of approximately $690.00 and sent me a bill. I did not agree that I owed that money to the taxing authority and liquidating that tax debt could undermine my ability to get it corrected by the taxing authority. I believe the tax was calculated incorrectly. Nevertheless I paid HFS but not after they reported me as being 30 days late on the account : an account that was paid in full. I never gave them permission to reopen the credit, nor to pay these fees on my behalf after they
reopened '' the credit, on a non-revolving account without my consent and without lawful authority. I sent a letter with return receipt requested with supporting documentation. The matter was removed from my credit at that time. It has since reappeared, so I asked that it be removed. Now Honda claims it is legitimate! This is a blatant violation of not responding timely ( within 30 days ), removing the item and - causing its reappearance. Moreover, it is not a legitimate debt. I paid that loan in full in - of -. How can I possibly have been 30 day delinquent in - -. Please help me regain my good credit. Please guide me in any further recourse I may have against Honda.
