My educational institution, - - - - - -, initiated my repayments in - through UHEA ( - ). At that time, I owed approximately -, - dollars. Through a deferment, inability to " communicate '' with -, getting conflicting information from them when they would respond, there total lack of cooperation in providing statements and other loan specifics as well as my own ignorance in just refusing to deal with them or my loan for about 2 years, I have since paid approximately - dollars to them and still owe them approximately -, - dollars. I am nearing retirement and do n't feel I can maintain these payments much longer as I will not have the money. It trying to work with them to settle the loan, I received but rude and degrading comments. I am at my wits end about it.
