Dear -, - school : - -, -, Montana ; - -/-/- - - : University of - - - - ; graduating -/-/- Unfortunately, I received my - private student loans through Wells Fargo. Post graduation, the multiple loans were consolidated into - loan. I worked for a few years and was able to easily make payments. However, upon attending law school, Wells Fargo informed me I would not be able to defer my payments during school. Now, I pay over $280.00 per month for my - loans. These payments are crushing. To get by, I have been forced to use credit cards as I have n't enough money to pay for necessities. I use my federal student loans from law school to pay for the Wells Fargo student loan and now all of my additional credit cards. The money always runs out at the end of the year, and I end up racking up late payments galore. If student loans were dischargeable, I would have filed bankruptcy. If my parents had not have co-signed I probably would have quit paying them, becuase I simply can not do it anymore. I am in the top - of my class and receive excellent grades. I have a job lined up for after school. I understand the nature of secured and unsecured transactions. I understand my contract obligations. However, before law school I was less savy. Had I known about the miserable circumstance I would be in now, I never would have consolidated my loans. I definitely would never have received a loan through Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo is 100 % unwilling to help. Their customer service representatives inform me that my type of loan is one of the only types that can not be deferred. This is predatory and unfair. This loan has ruined my life. I work 30 hours a week in addition to going to - in order to make these payments. I am going to work 12 hours -/-/- so that I can hopefully catch up.
