Other bank product/service Problems caused by my funds being low Virginia
My wife and I have - IRAs with Morgan Stanley. Since our balances were below a certain amount ( - have a little less that $2900.00, but over $2500.00 ) they have been selling off shares every year to pay a " past due acct fee '' totaling $50.00 to $150.00 per year ( the statements and wording is hard to understand ) Last year was the first time I realized what they were doing. So of course the accounts have never gained much in value, as the fees wo n't allow it. My wife 's account ends is - So the company that should be helping me accumulate wealth is doing just the opposite to me and my wife. What is surprising is that I 've been with them since around 1996 and have a third account that has had values between $25000.00 to $50000.00 and no advisor has ever suggested that I do something different to avoid these fees.
