Non-federal student loan Communication tactics Called after sent written cease of comm Arizona
National Collegiate Trust and it 's affiliates were notified in writing, over 2 years ago, to cease communication about a debt I have continued to dispute. I was advised this particular debt was included in my -/-/- bankruptcy, so I was surprised when I received their collection attempt in -/-/-. I immediately wrote a letter disputing the debt and asked the company to refrain from further contact. I sent this letter to - different addresses. I also included my bankruptcy paperwork. I told multiple collection agents about the bankruptcy and letter before I finally stopped answering their calls. I was recently informed that all collection attempts after my -/-/- letter were out of compliance with FDCPA regulations and that I should file a complaint. I am in the process of validating the debt, but I want to make sure this company follows fair collection practices in the future. Other consumers need to know about this company.
