DriveTime Consumer loan department,
Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay Texas
On -/-/- I voluntarily repossessed a vehicle with drive time. On -/-/- that showed on my credit as a charge off for $8900.00. Drive time contacted me on several occasions asking me to settle the account, I declined. In - - drive time reported - late payments -, I was able to remove these from my credit report because I disputed the inaccurate information. On - of this year - Drive time again reported a late payment. Now, the account was closed in - of last year. I spoke with the credit bureaus and they agreed that this act was in violation of the fair credit reporting act, however they refused to remove the false information. Drive time is attempting to prolong its time on my credit by reporting on a closed account knowing that it can stay on my credit for seven years after the last activity. I am working with a home loan program that looks only at the last two years of credit and therefore this account would not be a factor in determining my eligibility for a home with them if they are not allowed to falsely report activity. I am asking that the account be removed from credit in all - bureaus because the company has proven to be irresponsible in reporting information. I have proof via prior credit reports that this account was closed and charged off -/-/-. upload screen shots of said proof
