I received a charge to my checking account in the amount of $340.00 on -/-/15. The charge is from - and is under the name - -. I noticed the charge on -/-/15 and immediately called to file a dispute. I received the paperwork to sign and returned it on -/-/15. The paperwork I signed was an affidavit that it was not my charge. I immediately placed the signed affidavit back in the mail in the postage paid envelope provided. I called on -/-/15 to find out when I would receive my provisional credit and I was told after 10 business days of the complaint. When talking with the customer service representative, we both agreed the credit would be posted to my account on -/-/15. She told me it would be later in the day. So, on -/-/15 at -. I contacted Associated Bank to find out why I had not received the provisional credit. At that time I was told my signed paperwork was not received. I was also told the dispute area was closed so they would have to call me on Monday. And that I would not get provisional credit until 10 days AFTER the signed paperwork was received. They said they would re-mail me the documents for me to sign and it would be an additional 10 days AFTER they receive those documents that I would receive provisional credit! It looks like the charge to my account is an ACH transaction that obviously was taken from the wrong account. Maybe $350.00 is not a lot of money to them, but I need the $350.00 that was incorrectly taken from my account to pay bills. The bank refuses to give me credit to the money that is mine.
