Ford Motor Credit Company Consumer loan department,
Vehicle lease Managing the loan or lease Virginia
I leased a car from the - - in -, Florida and the manager told me that I could return it at the end of one year and negotiate a different lease with Ford Credit and pointed to - cars in his lot that he stated were returned prior to the end of their lease and just after one year and that it was acceptable to Ford Credit. I returned with my car on month eleven to discuss with the dealership and they referred me back to Ford Credit who informed me that they did not negotiate any leases and the manager had no right to make that statement to me. I returned the car and Ford Credit pursued me for a judgement and stated that they took the car to a wholesale auction and let it go for a very low amount and obtained a judgement against me for approximately $22000.00 plus legal fees and interest. If I had continued to pay the remainder of the lease then I would have paid less than $19000.00 and I am currently looking at a payoff about after negotiating with a collection attorney ( - of -, Florida ) for $25000.00.
