I am filing a complaint against Shellpoint Mortgage for reporting an account that is not mine on my credit report. The account in question is a Shellpoint mortgage account that was opened in 2007. I have no knowledge of where this account could have come from. Not only is this account not mine, but it 's severely hurting my credit because the actual account holder is letting the account run late. As a result, I have been having late payments hit my - report for the past several months. I am attaching a screenshot of the account on my credit report showing the account number and the last time it reported. I have disputed the validity of this account to them and to this date, nothing has been done. This account is not reporting on -, which is further proof that it should not be there in the first place. - should not be reporting someone else 's information on a person 's report, even more so when it does not belong to them. The account number is -. Please help me fix this. I have attached a police report, deed and title showing this mortgage is not associated with my name.
