On -/-/2015, I was purchasing a $3.00 item on eBay. I logged into my existing PayPal account, changed my payment method from bank account '' to credit card '', and clicked a green [ Apply ] button. After scrolling through some disclosures, which I assumed were updates to PayPal 's terms, I realized I had just opened a new credit account with a $1000.00 limit! I do not want the credit account or even a credit pull on my credit history. Also, I received an email from PayPal Credit '' saying Thanks for making a purchase with PayPal Credit. '' That is not the payment method I used for the purchase.
