I recently paid off a car financed with DriveTime, Inc. ( I had defaulted on the loan, and they repossessed it ). I submitted payment to DriveTime on -/-/2015. Payment was processed and posted to my account on -/-/2015. On -/-/2015, I received a letter by fax saying that my balance was $0.00. In a phone call on -/-/2015 with a member of the Repossession department, I was assured that I would receive my title in 4 - 6 weeks. As of -/-/2015, I have not yet received the title. I made numerous calls on this date to DriveTime, and was told several different things that contradicted each other, from the State of California holding up the title processing to the title not being processed due to a system bug ''. I have included documentation of payment of the loan, as well as conversations with the various DriveTime staff members. Also included is a conversation with a representative of the California - stating that DriveTime never submitted any kind of title or lien release paperwork. ( As each agency has a recorded statement that phone calls may be recorded, that satisfies the requirement of notification of call recording. See 18 U.S.C. 2511 ( 2 ) ( d ). )
