Navient is calling me almost daily regarding my - yr old daughter 's student loan debt. She does not live with me but they are calling my mobile number ( even on Saturdays ) in spite of my requests not to be called and informing them she is not a household member. I refused to cosign for her - - loan and do not understand why they would provide her funds when she did not qualify on her own. Her father says he agreed to help her with a loan but does not recall signing an application and requested a copy of this. Navient states he did sign but copy has not been provided. He has explained to Navient reps she is not a househd member, is unemployed and only had part-time employment prior to this. He also reported he was a -, but recently retired after having several bad crop years. Several months ago when questioned about household income, he disclosed to a Navient rep that I received retirement benefits. Since that time Navient is calling me. Can they call after I requested not to be contacted? Can they call me if I am not a cosigner? How did they obtain my mobile number? Called ID displays call originates from GA & has a - area code-is this legal?
