Synchrony Bank Credit card sale of account November 16, 2015 - I opened a Care Credit card account in - 2015 with an online application to match with my pet insurance. We visited the vet and had a $110.00 bill, which I was told my insurance would cover a portion, and that Care Credit would handle the rest. I never received a single bill, statement, my card, phone call or anything from Care Credit during the following months. In - 2015, I received a notice from a collection agency stating that they had " bought my account '' and were attempting to collect around $500.00.
