I followed the - to open the anywhere checking account via online. Whatever they asked me to provide - I provided and that 's why the account was also opened. I provided my permanent resident card as part of the account opening process and they accepted it also. Now after opening the account they are asking me to come down to the branch and provide the driver 's license, why?? I proceeded to call First Bank and they informed me it was for a checking account that I had a year ago? I never opened a Checking account with First Bank a year ago, my credit report states it was opened in -. I then asked why I owed so much and they informed me it was due to fees and interest. I informed them i never agreed to these fees and interest, or never signed anything agreeing to those costs. I provided all the information and also the funding information ( from another account ) to fund this. Then i submit the application over internet. But next day i received the call that as per - report - i am denied opening a new account. I was asked to check with them ( - ).
