(FNIS) Debt collection disclosure verification of debt right to dispute notice not received August 18, 2016 - Paid auto repair service with a check from my - credit card account on -/-/16. My check was accepted by the business. I received a written notice via mail from - on -/-/16 that the check had been denied. I contacted the auto repair business to settle the debt but was told that they had been paid. They referred me to Certegy check services along with a case number. I contacted Certegy and found out that my debt had been turn over to Complete Payment Recovery, a collection agent. I paid the debt including the $40.00 recovery fee. (FNIS) Debt collection disclosure verification of debt not disclosed as an attempt to collect June 13, 2016 - My credit report showed I owed Certegy $200.00 from a check written on -/-/- to -. I contacted them and they said my bank did n't pay due to NSF. I contacted my bank and they said to dispute it because I had money at the time and overdraft protection. When I disputed, they ( Certegy ) figured out someone had keyed in the wrong bank account. I agreed to pay the check but they could not tell me who to pay it to.
