MoneyGram Money transfers incorrect/missing disclosures or info October 29, 2016 - I wanted to send money to my mother in - through MoneyGram on Tuesday -/-/-. First, I had to verify who I was by sending a copy of a bank statement and a copy of my driver 's license after giving them multiple ways to verify my identity online. I spent two hours on the telephone with them but they were not satisfied with my answers ; therefore, I was treated like a criminal and had to send proof of who I am. A few weeks ago he sent money from Walmart through Money Gram, but before I could pick it up the next day he was hospitalized.
