MoneyGram Prepaid card advertising, marketing or disclosures May 25, 2016 - I sent - to a friend in Virginia to give to my sister because she needed the funds. Money gram took the money along with the fee from my card sent me a confirmation with a reference number to state the funds were ready in Virginia. When the receiver arrived she was told that the funds were not there and the number was invalid. I called money gram and after being hung up on several times I was told that they would refund $2700.00 ( including there fees ) in -4 business days. I explained that this was an emergency.
