Wells Fargo & Company Debt collection disclosure verification of debt right to dispute notice not received December 29, 2016 - I am a senior citizen with excellent credit, and have a Wells Fargo ( WF ) mortgage on a home I do not reside on. My late son and his family resided there. The mortgage was under my name but they were supposed to pay it. They never did and I only found out about it after his death last spring when I received a letter from a law office about a foreclosure. They did not make a payment in 8 years, and I was never notified. WF has my personal residential address but failed to notify me. I worked with WF, my broker and lawyer to do a short sale ( SS ).
