U.S. Bancorp Credit card department,
I had a credit card through US Bank. I contacted the credit card company after paying off the full amount on the card. I then contacted US Bank directly to make sure that there were no issues and that the card was paid in full and that I would never have to hear from them again, because I am fed up with their business tactics. I made the payment of the full amount due on -/-/2017, the payment posted on -/-/2017. Today -/-/2017 i got an email from US Bank saying that I now owed them $24.00. I called them right away to find out why. The CSA told me it is for interest on cash advances. I said how can you charge me interest on an credit card that I have paid off in full, verified with US Bank that it has been paid in full, and has been closed? She tried to tell me that interest is accrued daily for cash advances. I told her that was wrong because everything was verified as having been paid in full and the account has been closed, I insisted that interest can not be charge on a closed account that has
as being so, AND has been closed. She said she could do a " one time '' courtesy refund of the fees. I said " what do you mean on time ''? I said this account is closed and if you continue to bill me you will refund the money every time! She said i will probably receive a more statements with amounts due on them. This is very shady! I have a high school friend that states her daughter is having similar problems with US Bank! US Bank has never been customer friendly, and after utilizing there services for 10 years, i moved my account to a credit union. When I closed my US Bank account the teller asked me why I was closing them, I told her that there is ZERO benefit to me having my money in US Bank. She just shrugged her shoulders and thanked me. That seems to be their whole attitude. I worked my - off to pay off this credit card and US Bank just keep trying to - me dry!
