I applied for a - position at - in -. In -/-/2016. A background check was done and was taking a long time. After a month I received a copy of the background check with very vauge information of a warrant for petty theft in -. I immediately call GIS to dispute the accusations. I have NEVER been to -. So I know for a fact my identity has been stolen. I asked a rep. - was there anything I can or do to help in clearing my name and she tells me NO. I then get a call from a - - who called and left no msg. And she asked 'did i forget about the warrant '. I hope she was not trained to accuse people of a crime that they did n't do. She says she called the - police dept. And I needed to be fingerprinted. And that she already contacted - basically closing the dispute before I was able to get fingerprinted, so she can meet her 30 day time period of closing a dispute. So I lost a job because of false information.
