Citibank Credit card department,
On -/-/-, I submitted a change of address request to -Sears Master Card. I - in -/-/-, my minimum payments were $10.00 so therefore made them $25.00 a month while awaiting my statements to be forwarded to my new mailing address. Months went by and I had not received my statements, I tried logging into my account but the website certificates were not authorized on - and the page would not load. I continued to make $ - monthly payments but one arrived a day or two late which created a late fee which caused the months of - through - to be less than the minimum amount. However, I had no way of knowing because Citicorp had not honored my change of address request and I was not receiving statements and I could not log into their website due to certificate issues on the -. I never knew that a payment was receive late because I had not received statements which are required by law to be provided to the consumer. Upon my return to the States in -, I paid off remaining balance and it was not until a - Credit report that I realized that CitCorp reported
I contacted them in -, - and again in - via letters and a BBB complaint. I spoke to a representative that confirmed that they had received my change of address and was unsure why I had not received those statements. It was escalated to the Credit disputes department with no word until a letter was received from - - form their Executive Resolution Team. I appreciate the letter and response but the letter contained many inaccuracies that I have addressed. To date, Citicorp has continued to report my payments late even though they received monthly payments and they never provided me with monthly statements to my change of address as requested and received by Citicorp per their representative. I was charged extraordinary late fees for months that I was never late but failed to meet minimum payments because of a late fee which was caused by not receiving statements. Therefore & lt ; for a original balance of $95.00 owed on - Statement, I paid $350.00 in which $230.00 in late fees for something I was unaware of because they never sent me a statement. They claim I was on electronic statements from -/-/- which is false because I was receiving them prior to my departure in -/-/-.
