ECMC has began reporting an account to the credit bureaus without contacting me and verifying the debt first. I have not been contacted by ECMC in any way ( mail, phone, e-mail etc ... ) and given the opportunity to address the alleged debt that has been placed in collections on my credit report. I attempted to contact ECMC via certified mail, with the address provided in the credit report which was listed as being - -, MN -. According the the post office tracking number my certified mail is being " returned to sender '' due to that address being unknown. Since I have n't been successful in contacting ECMC via mail, I am submitting this complaint. Below is essentially the body of the letter I sent to ECMC on -/-/2017, which has been returned to sender. - - - - - - Dear ECMC, This letter is in regards to item/account being reported to the credit bureau ( s ). I have not received any correspondence from your company attempting to collect a debt. I have not been given the opportunity to address this alleged debt


fact, I agree to discharge any debt that I may lawfully owe, once the alleged debt has been verified. What is being requested as validation and verification of the alleged debt is listed below. 1. Verification of the debt, which includes the actual accounting 2. Verification of your ( ECMC ) claim against me ( - ) ; that is a signed invoice 3. The contract binding both parties ( - and ECMC ) Upon receipt of the above requested items, the proper actions can be negotiated between me ( - ) and your company ( ECMC ) to discharge the debt. Until the debt can be verified, as mentioned previously in this correspondence, please cease reporting this alleged debt to the credit bureau ( s ). Thank you, in advance, for your prompt attention to this matter.
