Citibank Credit card department,
Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement South Carolina
I had - fraudulent transactions occur on my Citi credit card totaling to almost $900.00 so I called and informed them. The transactions occurred on -/-/- and the -, I called and reported them on -. - of the fraudulent transactions were handled by the - however I still have the - most expensive still on my account today, -/-/- -. I have called four times all together now, each time I was told that things were still being handled until today. Today when I called, I was told the - transactions that were still on my account have actually never been reported although I have called in three other times and told them the exact name of the transactions and the exact amount and reported they were not my charges. I also spoke to an online representative about the situation. My complaint is why was it not handled until today and why was it never noted as reported even though I have called multiple times. Now since the charges have been on my account for some time I believe it has affected my credit score, not much but to my understanding it should not have affected it at all. I was told today that the credits should be posted to my account within the next five to seven days and the person I spoke with today reported them while I was online but the transactions should have already been reported based on my calls.
