Other bank product/service Making/receiving payments, sending money Maine
Wells Fargo has been incredibly deceptive and intentionally confusing. To summarize, they have mailed me two letters confirming a so-called late payment was removed, and also verbally confirmed over the phone recently that it was removed ( listen to the call to hear the deception! ). It has not been removed, which is certainly deceptive and clearly unfair practices. The letters they mailed noting that it would not be reported reference the account ending in -. -My Wells Fargo account number CHANGED after -/-/-, due to a LOST CARD to the account ending in -.
-THEY ARE THE SAME credit line, the number only changed AFTER a late was reported because the card was LOST. - is what the account was when a late payment was reported. The account number did not change until AFTER -/-/- to a new number. The letter I have attached that they mailed is referencing what the account number was when they reported. I have never had anything negative on my credit and have been appalled by how misleading and deceptive Wells Fargo has been. They have lied to me several times, and told me conflicting infomation. When I called several months ago to confirm the removal, the representative confirmed several times that it had been removed. In my most recent conversation, they said it had not ... where are my rights? How is this ok? What truly deceptive practices! I have spent over a year being lied to and misled. In my most recent conversation, they were not able to confirm the two letters mailed to me stating the removal. That is very concerning that they do not maintain records of outgoing confidental customer information and would mail conflicted information repeatedly. This is WRONG!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!
