Experian Credit reporting department,
Incorrect information on credit report Account status California
This is a duplicate complaint that I filed for - and -. This complaint is for all - credit bureaus. Back on -/-/2016, I submitted paperwork to all - credit bureaus informing them that there were - accounts on my credit reports that were reported incorrectly. There were - accounts with - - - that were showing as being actively disputed. I notified them in writing that I was not disputing the accounts and that I was requesting they remove the disputed status from the reports. I have yet to receive any investigation results. Because I did n't receive any results and it had been nearly 2 months after my requests were mailed off, I decided to call the bureaus individually and speak to them all about the accounts. I called Experian and - both on -/-/- trough the numbers - for Experian and
- until I regained the mental fortitude to continue with - I then waited to call - on -/-/- to have them also remove the dispute codes from the - - - accounts. They gave me another number to call which was - and gave me a file number which I ca n't list since you have asked that I not include it in this section. They ultimately told me the same thing at the end of the conversation. Those dispute codes would be removed within days. I wait until today to monitor my credit reports and behold, the dispute codes still are n't removed .... Now, almost 3 months after my initial request to get these disputed status remarks removed from my credit report, They still have n't been removed. At this point I am getting fed up with all - bureaus. I am attempting to purchase a home and I have more than a sufficient credit score to qualify as well as income but I am being denied because these - accounts are under a disputed status. It is my understanding that the credit bureaus only get 30 days from an initial investigation request to correct and update the credit profile as well as to send me written notice of the corrections. They have not done so and it has been almost 90. Besides the fact that they did n't acknowledge, adhere, or respond to my requests, they also have n't corrected the issue when I contacted them by phone ... .. At this point I feel like I am being held hostage. I ca n't buy a home because the credit bureaus wo n't remove the disputed status from my credit report even though I have asked them twice now to remove the dispute codes from my report since I am not disputing any accounts. Prices of homes keep going up and interest rates are increasing. The credit bureaus are literally costing me money!!! I need you to look into this matter for me as I have already done what I am supposed to do in this matter. I have contacted the credit bureaus in writing as well as by phone. If this does n't get resolved soon then I will be forced to contact a lawyer. I ca n't sit here and watch house after house go by because the bureaus wo n't do the job they are supposed to.
