Citibank Credit card department,
In -/-/2016 I submitted - payments to my Citibank Credit via a Citibank branch for a total amount of $3000.00 with - $1000.00 travelers ' checks payable to Citicards. The payments were rejected and I immediately followed up with another payment. I was originally informed that the issuer did not pay the funds and that the checks would be returned. I waited a couple of weeks and when I called Citicards again I was not given a clear answer on when I would be receiving my funds back. I was bounced around different departments with no result. I followed up the Traveler 's Check issuer ( - ) and I was informed that the reason that they did not pay the instrument was because Citicards ( Citibank ) failed to properly endorse the checks and that if they do not have the originals, they were supposed to by federal law to provide me with legal copies. I contacted Citibank again and relayed this new information. I was informed that Citibank destroys checks received as part of their process and I once again voice my concerns regarding my missing funds. I was again bounced around different areas until I got to
failed to process them correctly with the proper endorsement. The issuer - representative is requesting a letter from Citibank or Citicards explaining why they did not properly endorse the checks and why they are unable to provide legal copies before they can take any additional steps. I provided all this information as well as the - Rep contact information and I have not heard back from them in more than 2 weeks. I have sent repeated emails for an update and have left my Citibank case workers ( - - and - - ) multiple messages with no response. Please assist me, it has been over 3 months now and I have lost $3000.00 due to a Citibank error and they are not providing any viable solution.
