Experian Credit reporting department,
Incorrect information on credit report Personal information California
I wanted to buy furniture from -. I was told that, with a - credit card, I would get $40.00 off my order. I applied and got a form letter from - Bank, saying credit was denied, based on information from Experian. After hours of phone calls, I was told that - - where I had a card, had submitted an incorrect SS number for me. ( I have n't used that card for several years. ) I disputed and got a communication from Experian to the effect that they completed the processing of the dispute. However, the Experian web site still reflects that I 'm " in dispute. '' I called -, but they are unable to change it, of course. I think it 's wrong and unfair that I never had a chance to review the information submitted about me to make sure it is accurate. Also, now that it 's be resolved, why should it remain for so long as if it has n't been. My credit score, according to Experian itself, is -, which that outfit itself calls " exceptional. '' I protest this sloppy, indifferent, and infuriating refusal to remove this " dispute '' thing immediately. Their cynical disregard for my credit standing, effort, time, and frustration, should be recognized. I should be embarrassed to pull the age card, but I will, anyway : I turned - in - and I believe this is actually affecting my well-being. Thank you. Note : I tried to attach the letter from -, but was unable.
