Citibank Credit card department,
I check my - score on a monthly basis to make sure that my credit score remain very high. I was never late with payments and all my accounts were in good standing. - 2016 I noticed that my - score dropped significantly. When I inquired, it was due to late payment from Macys. I was surprised so I called them, and they said you bought shoes for - dollars ( which I returned and got credited for ) and a - dollar candy bar ( which I did not return ). I told them I never received an email nor a statement or even a phone call. Now the charge is - dollars which I gladly offered to pay if they remove the negative reporting. However, they said I need to pay it then I can talk to the collections department. How absurd is that? They have a right to report negative information but I have no right to defend myself? Now my credit score is down - points because of a - dollar candy bar? I had this account 7 years ago and not once was late. I hope to see more of your stores closed and see you in bankruptcy proceedings very soon.
