Conventional fixed mortgage Loan servicing, payments, escrow account
U.S. Bancorp Mortgage department,
Conventional fixed mortgage Loan servicing, payments, escrow account Minnesota
I purchased a home on - -, 2016. I prepaid $1100.00 in interest for the month of - to the originator ( Bank - ) as part of closing ( found on the -. ) The mortgage was then sold to another bank ( Bank - ) on - -, 2016. Bank - only reported ( on the - ) the interest paid between - - and - -, 2016. Bank - only reported interest paid between - - and - -, 2016. This left an unreported sum in the amount of the difference between the prepaid amount and the reported amount from Bank - - which has an impact on my taxes. Bank - stated that they are n't responsible for any prepaid interest made prior to their purchase. Bank - stated that they only report the interest paid/applied while they owned the loan. Both are adamant that what they reported is accurate. If that money did n't go towards interest, where did it go and why is the consumer ( me, and I imagine many others ) getting - out of the reported interest paid on the loan due to a mortgage transfer?
